1. The Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science (51920)

The Advanced Diploma of Dermal Science is a unique education combination of dermal science, enrolled nursing and medical assisting units, which have been contextualised to the field of cosmetic medicine and dermal therapies. The curriculum covers the key competencies required to work as a qualified Dermal Therapist within a cosmetic medical practice. Scope of work includes performing dermal therapy procedures, assisting medical personnel with cosmetic surgical and non-surgical procedures, assisting with practice and patient management, and performing administration duties. 2. The Vocational Graduate Certificate of Cosmetic Nursing (51987)

The Vocational Graduate Certificate in Cosmetic Nursing is a postgraduate course developed specifically for Enrolled or Registered Nurses seeking to enter the field of cosmetic medicine. This government accredited Course will provide students with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to work in a cosmetic medical practice and/or an accredited day hospital performing cosmetic nursing, dermal therapies and injectable procedures. 3. Vocational Graduate Certificate in Dermal Therapies (Allied Health/Beauty Stream)

This government-accredited graduate course is developed for candidates from an allied health or beauty background. The objective of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and hands-on skills to meet the employment requirements of a modern skin clinic. Graduates may seek employment as a qualified Dermal Therapist, establish their own clinic, or add dermal therapy procedures to their current scope of practice.

4. 6 day Short Course –  IPL/Laser Certificate

This short course includes the AACDS IPL/Laser Safety Officers Certificate. Theory is undertaken over three days which is   “Light Based Therapies and IPL/Laser Safety Officer 1.1b AACDS”, including examination for Laser Safety Officers Certification (Queensland Health) . Three days of practical training  are delivered and competency assessed.

Although this certificate can be studied as a stand-alone course, it is generally delivered as part the Advanced Diploma of Cosmetic Dermal Science.

5. Vocational Graduate Certificate in Dermal Therapies (Cosmetic Medicine Stream 52356)

The Vocational Graduate Certificate in Dermal Therapies (Cosmetic Medical Stream) is the first Nationally Accredited course of its kind in Australia. As vocational course, there is a strong emphasis on the development of practical competencies in a range of cosmetic procedures. Theory-based units encompassing both surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures are supported by practical competencies in dermal therapies and cosmetic injectables. Medical practitioners graduate with the skills and knowledge to pursue a career as a Cosmetic Physician whilst providing a supervisory role for non-medical staff.

6. Laser Education

The 5 Immutable Laser Practices.

The course has been developed by Sue Graham, are renowned operator, educator, trainer and advisor in class 4 cosmetic lasers. This course is delivered at GrayClay College campus in Southport Queensland.

This course is a solid point for any certified operator wanting to broaden and cement their knowledge or for those who have received their certification and would like to commence in the industry with sound knowledge and hands on practical experience in a number of treatments, e.g. vascular, pigmentation, rejuvenation, rosacea, hair removal and tattoo removal.
